- my 85 auto idles at around 2000 rpm and then when you put the car in gear it idles around 700rpm and runs kinda rough. the idle adjuster screw doesnt even touch the throttle at idle. any ideas? i was thinking vacuum leak but that wouldnt explain the low idle in gear
