- Hey, my mr2 idles at around 1000-1100 rpms. I tried tightening that screw on the throttle and it is as tight as it will get. Is there anyway I can lower my idle RPMs? A mechanic I know said it could be the motor mounts but i dont see how that has ANYTHING to do with it.
