Tachometer signal, using an igniter from a celica [Archive] - Toyota MR2 Message Board

So I bought a new igniter for my car (1987 AW11). Because of prices and not wanting to buy something used I got a standard LX-662 ignition module. At first I was looking at the 661 which is supposed to be for 85-87 Corollas, but the 662 looked exactly the same but had a longer loom going to the distributor which I thought would be perfect. They look almost exactly the same as the ones for our cars, they even have the same number of wires with the same colors. Here
