What is the differences in the engines for a mk1a? I have read about the silver top, the red top, and the black top? As far as I know I have a stock engine in my 86 mk1a and its color is silver, and I think its called a 4A-GE. I am considering some day in the future to mod the engine to get better hp/performance out of it by doing the heads, and exhaust and the muffler and modding the tubes for the exhaust from the current size to 2 1/2 or 3 inch. thanks for any assist. ed
