Engine control light... WHYYYYY?

Hey guys I have a 2000 MR2 mk3. I have a bit problem whit a long term solution, but I need a short term advice :D So the issue: -My trunk filled up with water during the rain, made a cables to the computer a bit wet (I already found the problem today morning) -My engine control light started to blink and now glowing.(I know it can be only 10000 different reason) So the fact is, this two things happened in the same time, get water, and after the blinking, and once it dried out the light
