Hi I have a 1987 car with original coil and igniter. It was made in the following month - 11/86. I have code 6 from check engine light. The check engine light is not always on however. How do I test the igniter? Another question - will any Mk1 igniter work? I have seen some in wrecking yards in the past with the same connectors and mounts but different part numbers. Would appreciate any help or a point to the path to the right info. Thanks
