- 87 4age, just changed the head gasket and installed arp head studs.
The shaft on the distributor is flat against my arp studs its rubbing hard enough to keep me from spinning the engine,
I attempted to crank the motor and heard a tapping noise so I pulled off the cam covers and noticed a notch on the distributor, when i spin it by hand it jams on the notch, does anyone know of a problem with the studs being too long? or is my distributor in too far? its flush with the head and the studs
