4A-GE MK1 Engine Car died on highway

4A-GE MK1 Engine, highway, died, click, checked, belt, waiting, area, ended, thinking, coming, slipping, ordering, figured, plan, ideas, back, threw, week, electrical, stereo, happened, lights, death, thing, whine, alternator, grounds, stalls, 45-55, shift, dinner, head, work, starts, sudden, starting, cranked, days, couple, drops, 12-13v, voltage, turn, half, make, hearing

I was on my way to get dinner and head to work, when all of a sudden, the eng. starts to bog out. I went to shift from 4th to 3rd and the eng. stalls (while doing 45-55 down the highway) I tried starting it but it would not turn over, and my voltage would go from half to 0 and make a click click. Ive checked my grounds, checked my bat. (12-13V drops below 9 when eng. is cranked) The last couple days, ive been hearing a whine coming from the belt area, but i figured it was just a belt
