my 88 supercharged Mk I developed a huge appetite for coolant in the last 6 months. Not leaking, but using 1 litre in 100 miles. Head gasket?, but no milk in oil, and compression about 130 psi in each cylinder. Going through the archives I found examples of blown head gaskets with similar results, combustion gas leaking into coolant over pressurizing radiator cap. TEST: ran hose from radiator overflow tube taped to outside of car with outlet near drivers window. At idle, low speed no
