Ignition key/computer issues

Owned my 2000 MR2 since new day one. Today it died within 20 seconds of running. Just stopped as I was getting my seat belt on. Had it towed to a local shop. I was told that the computer does not recognize the ignition key. The little red light on the dash keeps flashing. Last year I programmed two extra keys as I had only one key left after losing the original spare. All keys were working fine. Now, none of them work. No one locally can steer me in the right direction. Help!
