- Hello all, I recently purchased a 1985 MR2 as a project with 240k miles on it. The engine is in rough condition and I am debating whether to rebuild it or swap it out with a new engine considering how many miles it has. Does anybody know what engines fit with the 85 MR2 that would cost around $1000? I
