Check engine light after gutting pre cats [Archive] - Toyota MR2 Message Board

Basically what the title says. Gutted them yesterday and drove a couple miles and noticed a burning smell but no smoke. Later that day, the CEL came on. I replaced the gaskets and everything went on great. What could it possibly be?
