Weird source of tranny oil leak [Archive] - Toyota MR2 Message Board

OK so i changed a few things because my tranny was leaking oil. the drain plugs along with the gasket. the drivers seal were the axel goes in. i was thinking that would have resolved it after i notice it wasnt my plugs. but as i was working on it i notice this27850....looks like someone put a square piece of metal and silicone around it . any one ever seen something like this? That area is wet. where the seal goes it is actually not wet atleast not wet enough to be the source of it
