20V MK1 Engine Swap wierd 20v problems [Archive] - Toyota MR2 Message Board

20V MK1 Engine Swap, check, fine, light, limp, jump, rpms, engine, mode, stumped, idea, stop, kicked, couple, nicely, untill, stumbled, drive, ideas, 3000, past, wrong, drove, harness, doug, mr220v, hooked, problems, swap, easy, wierd, checking, codes, mins, starts, idles, problem

so i got the swap all in and everything is hooked up i have my harness done by doug (mr220v) should be easy.....but it never is. the car starts up fine and idles fine.... for the first 10 mins then it goes into limp mode and the rpms jump around by themselves. i tried checking for codes.... the only problem is when the rpms jump by themselves the check engine light goes on when they go up and off when they go down i am stumped and have no idea what is wrong.. anyone have any ideas? also i was
