Other Transmission Sticking in 3rd gear [Archive] - Toyota MR2 Message Board

Other, experiences, ideas, working, fine, till, tranny, suddenly, obstructing, cables, linkage, causing, brake, shifting, accelerating, sticking, gear, shift, select, transmission, hand, complete, stop, gears

Need some ideas or experiences, when shifting into 3rd and accelerating I cant get it out of 3rd, unless I come to a complete stop, set the hand brake then it will shift out of 3rd and select all gears normally. Just suddenly did this as tranny has been working fine till now, anyone have experiences or ideas on what is causing this, nothing seems to be obstructing the cables or linkage.
