- Hey guys i have an 86 mr2 i have been restoring the body on as a daily driver i had started it yesterday and it is blowing smoke im sure its rings. What is the easiest way to change rings on this motor? Can i drop the pan and pull them out from the bottom or do i have to take the head off? Also summitracing has piston/rings for around $110.00 how are these, should i do them or just throw a set of rings on my stock pistons?
