- I have had my 87 NA MR2 for a few months now. I was averaging about 20 MPGs, before I did oil change to 5W-30 full synthetic, NGK Iridium spark plugs, wires, and dizzy cap not much improvement. I then
-changed the O2 sensor,
-checked the tires, and all at 32 psi
-checked the compression all cylinders, between 142-149 psi on a warm engine (WOT, with air filter on)
Still the MPGs only improved to about 23.
The car has about 145,000 miles and is a stock 7rib 4AGE
