So starter went out after replacing it 3 months ago. I have no sort of heat shield protecting it which leads me to believe the heat keeps killing it. Luckily I have a c52 trans but wanted to know if I would be ok with using the c50 backing plate and just modifying it mount the starter intake side or if I need the c52 plate to mount otherwise. The trans is being taken out to get rebuilt again since the shop forgot to replace the diff bearings -_-… what
