Having a huge timing issue [Archive] - Toyota MR2 Message Board

timing, checked, work, fixed, lined, marks, thing, line, looked, light, smogged, huge, issue, mark, belt, alternator

i had to get my car smogged and i checked the timing and it was way off. When i looked at my timing with a light the mark was way up by my alternator....and i couldnt get it to be on the right timing so i checked to see if it was the belt and it was off so i took it all off and fixed every thing to be lined up with the right marks but now i cant get my car to run.... i dont get how when i line everything up right how it doesnt work but when it was off my car would run
