4A-GZE MK1 Engine, turbo, missing, attempt, approved, venting, externally, wastegates, illegal, carb, turbos, eventually, hoping, point, cali, speculating, problem, live, system, aftermarket, nigh, putting, california, tear, legality, impossible

so i m just speculating at this point but...... i have been hoping to eventually put a turbo on my 88 sc, but the problem is that i live in california :tear: i have been looking at the legality of putting an aftermarket turbo system on and it looks nigh on impossible to do this. am i missing something and there is a way to do this or should i not even attempt p.s. i already know that only certain CARB approved turbos can be used and that externally venting wastegates are illegal
