Installed new amp and now theres weird noise when engine runs [Archive] - Toyota MR2 Message Board

I just installed a alpine amp to power the mb quartz components i have in my 2. Problem is when i was done and started the engine it has a weird feedback noise that i thinks related somewhat to the power steering. Ive done some searching but just cant find a precise answer on how to fix this. I had a amp in my 2 before that just powered my sub and it had no problems. any help would be appreciated because im ready to go buy a new head unit and install it but if thats not the problem id rather
