Help please, caliper wont sit all the way down [Archive] - Toyota MR2 Message Board

    I am changing my pad and rotors and following various DIYs i found online. Rear passenger side turned out fine, but rear driver side, with everything replaced, it wont line up with the bolt that connects it to the caliper/pad holder. I am suspecting the piston has gone bad because the inside pad was worn much worse than the outer pad. Picture below shows outer pad up top, lower pads on the bottom. To the right are the new pads:
