My trunk release lever hasn’t worked since I bought my ’89 MR2. I finally took a look at it today. The cable is intact, but either stretched out or maladjusted. Pulling the lever pulls the cable, but not enough to trigger the release mechanism. I’m hoping I can just adjust the tension instead of replacing the whole thing, but I don’t see anything in the Haynes manual, BGB, or searching these forums. Can someone let me know if it’s possible to adjust and on what end it happens before I go
