I have a 1986 MR2 4AGE, 5spd n/a and between about 3600-4200rpm under acceleration there is a ringing sound. As soon as the valves kick in at about 4200, the ringing stops? A tech from Toyota went for a ride to listen and he thought it was a rattle, but did say it could be a solenoid? He was absolutely not sure. I don
