Poor acceleration and warm up idle [Archive] - Toyota MR2 Message Board

Ok, so i took my 87 to the mechanic today (again) and he is telling me I might have a bad Ignition Coil (causing a low spark when accelerating from a stop) which could cause my slow acceleration problem, but i think it might be a vacume leak. It Starts up right away, but sometimes bogs from 500rpm to 1200rpms when warming up, but overall runs fantastic when the uper RPMs are reached. ANyone have a problem like this before? what could it be?
