I just purchased a 1993 Japanese MR2 turbo which was converted to LHD. It runs great, except about 95% of the time the car starts to buck when accelerating hard in second and third gear, when I am between 5000 - 5500 rpm. If I shift before 5000 rpm its no problem. The car has 59,000 miles and the spark plugs were just changed to Bosch Platinum FR8DPX
