MR2 lights up when I open pass. door but not drivers side [Archive] - Toyota MR2 Message Board

When I open the drivers side door on my MR2, I am left in darkness and forced to turn on the map light if I need to see something when I get into it. Oddly enuff, when I open the passenger side door, it acts as it is supose to and turns on the map light by itself and slowly fades off when I close the door. What is the deal that would make one door turn on the map light by itself, and the other door not to? Boy talk about bad luck.:( How do I fix?
