Speedo Cable question [Archive] - Toyota MR2 Message Board

My speedo doesnt work and im confused, is there 3 parts to the speedo cable or more then 1 speedo cable? Will the speedo cable assy front or rear for a usdm mr2 work on a jdm mr2? A Mechanic pulled something out under the engine and tranny i think that was connectted to the speedo cable it was a small long piece and it was rusted duno if its the rear assy. any help?
