pulling out the pipes looks like my friends 1985 MK1 Heater pipe has a split in it. yep we pulled down the radiator pipes and the leak was on the smaller pipes going to the heater core. the radiator looks like weldable stainless or magnetic stainless, yes a magnet sticks to both of them. the heater pipes have a goldish tent to them more like a treated steel, the radiator ones look more like a weldable / magnetic stainless. but what are the heater core ones made out of anyone know?
