- I have an opportunity to pick up a nice 87 MR2 that has a blown head gasket (engine overheated, so it will most likely need to be shaved). It also needs a valve cover, engine tranny mounts and radiator. Am I better off grabbing a used engine / used parts or tackling the blown head gasket. Cost is the biggest factor.
