Like all mr2 mk1 owners I had an issue with high idle when cold (2500rpm and above) and also unstable idle when hot. Checked vacuum lines for leaks Checked coolant lines for air bubbles Tried adjusting idle speed screw with no luck So finally only idle air control valve was left to blame As it is a wax type valve, with age wax leaks and valve doesn
