4A-GE MK1 Engine, talking, hose, too,the, flow, tank, overflow, coolant

my 86 has a problem .the over flow tank fills up when hot and bubbles and drains some coolant out and it doesnt drain back into the rad after cooling down. today i changed the t-stat and it still does it.i will bleed it in the morning and i bought a new rad cap any suggestions on what it could be. oddly the temp gauge reads normal.:confused:
