So I was planning on changing out the gear oil on my 86 mk1 (just not sure if its ever been done) It sounded like a super easy process - but when I went to do it I found that someone had completely destroyed the fill plug bolt. It looks like they took a grinder to just one side of it (damn fools!) - its definitely toast. I read another thread somewhere a while back where someone suggested that the oil could be filled from (i think) where the shift linkage connects? I cant find the
